Following up last week's post about new and notable book trailers, here are a few more favorites from the Amazon Books team.
Sometimes I wonder why author videos aren't more engaging. Usually they're uninspired, and at worse, extraordinarily dry. Are authors just naturally not very charming people? I don't think that's true, but few are as funny as John Green, especially in this author video for Will Grayson, Will Grayson, recommended by Miriam.
Darryl suggested the trailer for Sarah Vowell's new book, Unfamiliar Fishes, which features excerpts from the book and the author's nasal-heavy narration. The trailer made me want to listen to This American Life and eat some pork.
Mari sent me this classic (classic meaning "more than three months old") for Gary Shteyngart's Super Sad True Love Story. I didn't love Super Sad, but I do love this trailer. Come for the James Franco cameo, stay for Shteyngart's bizarrely self-deprecating humor.
